Henderson- William Bommelje Jr., 90, of Lasher Road, and formerly of Rochester, died Wednesday Evening on May 16, 2018 home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.  He was born at home on February 20, 1928 in Rochester, NY to William Sr. & Magdalena Manjie.  He attended school in Rochester, NY.  He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1949. 

He worked for many construction companies throughout his career, he was a self-employed carpenter and he specialized in building custom kitchen cabinets. He loved woodworking and making furniture. He built the stairs in his cottage on the lake. He loved fishing on Lake Ontario.

He married Norean Hopkins.  The couple had two sons; William E. Bommelje, Henderson; and Tom and his companion Brian Bommelje, Rochester. He is predeceased by many siblings, Cornelius, Pete, Minnie and Jeanette.

There will be no calling hours.  A private burial will be held on Lake Ontario at a later date.
