Obituary of Darwin Morgan

NATURAL BRIDGE – Darwin R. Morgan, 76, of 5635 Old State Road, Natural Bridge, passed away on July 5, 2018 at his home, under the loving care of Lewis County Hospice and his family. 

He was born on July 27, 1941 in Natural Bridge, the son of Roy Watson and Mary Elizabeth Duquette Morgan. He attended school in Natural Bridge and went on to work as a laborer at Carthage Machine.

He married Rose Babcock on October 6, 1962 at Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage, New York. Rose died on December 11, 2014.

Darwin is survived by his two children, Kevin Morgan of Natural Bridge and Amy (Brett) Leeson of Natural Bridge; three grandchildren, Kortany Morgan of Fargo; Kyle Grover of Natural Bridge; and Whitney Grover of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.

He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Rose; six sisters, Amy Brown; Verna Smith; Neva Arnold; Erma Arnold; Dawn Kempney; and Mary Morgan; three brothers, Dean Morgan; Titus Morgan; and Roy Morgan.

He loved to hunt, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2 PM at Natural Bridge Fire Hall at 27570 High St, Natural Bridge, New York 13665. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice at P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
