My heart is heavy for the family, it's been many years since I hung out with my cousins in Antwerp but I've often thought of all of you over the years. Sandy and I used to walk the train tracks for miles and just plain run around the town. Stay strong and keep your memories close.

I met Sandra in the last stage of her beautiful life. I was struck by how much she loved her famlly. You were everything to her, and all she could talk about when she was so ill. She has earned her wings, and will watch over you always.

I didn't know your mom, but the picture says enough. She looked like she was a really nice person. Someone to with a lot of personality and someone you could depend on when you needed her the most.

Shari, Dick and Family,
First, let me say how sorry I am for your loss and understand all the feelings that go with this unfortunate part of life. Everyone says you get past it but, as long as you keep memories alive she will be with you in your heart. She reached out and touched my heart when we became friends when they first moved to Antwerp. As We had just recently moved there and I found most of the girls in town to be snobbish and unfeeling. I was at a loss as to how to connect with them. Sandy became that person who showed me what it meant to feel comfortable with myself. She had my back and gave me the support I needed to be me. I think she experienced the same thing. We leaned on each other and dealt with those feelings together as one.
Sandy, Shari and I spent most of our teen lives getting into trouble and were very close at one time. I spent more time staying at their house then my home. Sandy loved to craft and seemed meek and mild to some, but, I was close enough to her to see that she liked to cause mischief! Most of our shenanigans were due to Sandy's intent on trying something new and experiencing life like normal teens. She was there cheering me on as a Brides Maid when Greg and I got married. I know that was hard for her to do as she must have felt she was losing a friend. As life progressed we lost touch and each did our own thing.
This is the hard part of life that we all experience, some earlier than others and no rhyme or reason as to why. Just know that your in my thoughts and prayers and may god bless each and everyone of you. Lean on each other and keep her in your hearts.
Love,
Sherri
