Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" Allen

CARTHAGE – Lawrence (Larry) A. Allen, 74, formerly of State Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Lawrence was born on July 1, 1944 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late Lester and Minnie Manchester Allen. He was one of 11 children. He attended Lowville Academy. He went on to work various jobs in the area.

Lawrence is survived by two brothers, Ken (Sandy) Allen, Lyons Falls, NY, Kevin (Roxie), Star Lake; four sisters, Barbara (Thomas) Butler, Carthage, NY, Karen (Bill) Rohr, Lowville, NY, Gail (Paul) McBroom, Carthage, NY, Patricia (Bob) VanArenam, Carthage, NY; an aunt, June Allen and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Richard Allen, Robert Allen; two sisters, Beverly Middleton and Diane Scouton.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00AM at Sunnyside Cemetery, Naumburg, NY. Anne Rohr will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations in his memory be made to the Carthage Center located at 1045 West Street Carthage, NY 13619.
