Obituary of Michael T. Ashcroft

CARTHAGE -- Michael Thomas Ashcroft, 73, of Trenton, Florida, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 24^th, 2018 surrounded by his family. 

Born October 30th, 1944, he was the son of James C and Rita Bodfield Ashcroft of Carthage. He attended Carthage Augustinian Academy. A United States Navy Veteran, he worked for years at Carthage Area Hospital.  He was an active member in the Elks Club, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Volunteer at Haven Hospice and a member of Holy Cross Mission in Cross City, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marguerite Plumadore-Ashcroft and four children. Pamela Ashcroft-Daniels and her companion, Mark J. Heath, Clarksville, Florida; Darren Ashcroft and Lori Cronk-Ashcroft of Carthage, NY; Suzanne Ashcroft-Taylor and Dan of Rome, NY; and Krishna Ashcroft-Stemple and Mike of Trenton, Florida. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  He has two surviving brothers, James B. and Gerald and one Sister, Kathy Ashcroft-West, all of Carthage. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM at the St. James Catholic Church in Carthage on November 14, 2018.  Burial will immediately follow at New St. James Catholic Church.
