Obituary of Arnold Webb

GOUVERNEUR – Arnold Webb, 85, formerly of Gouverneur, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at SUNY Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse.

Arnold was born on August 16, 1933 in Utica, New York, a son of the late Benjamin and Mildred (Crump) Webb. He attended Rome Free Academy.

On June 20, 1959 he married Flora E. Denton. He worked as a farmhand and laborer for Whitehall Farms. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Flora who resides at Maplewood Nursing Home in Canton; four children, Michael (Wendy) Webb of Georgia; Robert Webb of Rome; Richard Webb of Gouverneur; and Eric (Rose) Webb of Lafargeville; five siblings, Elsie; Benjamin; Shirley; Francis and Mary, all of the Syracuse area; as well as two grandchildren, Matthew (Sara Beth) Webb of Georgia; Sarah Faye (Phillip) Whitby of Georgia.

He is predeceased by a sister, Lulu.

Per Arnold’s request, no public services will be held.
