Obituary of Inez A. Roggie
NATURAL BRIDGE - Inez A. Roggie, 85, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born on July 29, 1933 in Deer River, NY, a daughter to the late Maurice and Nera (Boscoe) Pridell. She worked for many years as a cashier at the Acme food Store in West Carthage, and upon its closure, and then worked at the Ames Department Store until her retirement.
She was married to Paul Joseph Roggie on December 6, 1952. He predeceased her on July 8, 1996. They were members of the Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage, NY.
One of the two most important persons in our lives has left us. She will be very sorely missed by everyone who knew her, either as a relative or a loyal customer where she worked in the past.
She is survived by her two daughters, Paulette (James) Washington and Kimberly (Mark) Davis, four grandchildren Christa (Tom) Mozie, Megan Davis, Erin Washington and Paul Washington, and two great-grandchildren, Madison Mozie and Anthony Mozie, as well as a younger sister, Betty Tripp.
She was also predeceased by three grandchildren: Justin Davis (April 13, 2010), Jacqueline Davis (May 5, 1990) and Clinton Davis (April 3, 2016).
She will be buried beside her husband at the Swineburne Cemetery in Deer River later this year.
