CARTHAGE – Lloyd Hobart, 78, passed away peacefully Friday morning, August 16, 2019 at Carthage Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Lloyd was born on February 12, 1941 in Herrings, NY, a son to the late John and Margaret (Manwaring) Hobart. He attended school at Carthage Central School and went on to work as a laborer for James River Paper Company in Carthage, NY.

On May 19, 1963, Lloyd married Doreen Burr.

Lloyd loved to go fishing, bowling, and dancing. He also had a love for the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen; two sons, Daniel (Katherine) Hobart, Ilion, NY; Lloyd (Kelli) Hobart, Carthage, NY; a brother, Gary Hobart and his companion, Bonnie Ives, Fly Creek, NY; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Lloyd is predeceased by a son, Jeffery Hobart in 1991.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 2 PM at the Carthage American Legion, 415 West St, Carthage, NY 13619. He will be buried alongside of his son in St. James Cemetery.
