CARTHAGE- Anna M. Pierce, 89, formerly of Carthage, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Southport, North Carolina. She was born on March 9, 1926 in Croghan, New York to Archie and Ester Martin Camidge. She attended Beaver Falls High School. She married Walter Pierce on October 19, 1949. Mr. Pierce died on January 11, 1991. She worked for Gilbert's Laundry as a laundry and dry-cleaning clerk. She is survived by four children, Gary Chapman, Oklahoma; Ronald and Henrietta Pierce, Syracuse; Robert and Bonnie Pierce, Florida; and Rick and Marilyn Pierce, Auburn; and three sisters, Velma Butts, North Carolina; and Yvonne & Wilmer Schriock, Carthage; and Rose Raven, North Carolina; a brother, Clarence Camidge, North Carolina; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews . She is predeceased by a son, Larry Chapman. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pierce Cemetery in the Town of Wilna.
