CARTHAGE – James H. Lawton, 76, 222 State St., #202, died Monday morning, December 28, 2015 at his home.
Born in the Town of LeRay on December 2, 1939, the son of Clinton W. & Josephine Baker Lawton. He married Lorraine K. Sanders on July 31, 1966 in Natural Bridge. He worked for Carbola Chemical Co. Mine in Natural Bridge and for Gouverneur International Talc. James was a family man and an avid woodworker and fisherman; he was also a talented musician.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine and their children; Laura Bomher, James Lawton Jr. and his companion, Gina, Katie Camidge and her husband, Bill, Debra Willis and her husband, Anthony, Daniel P. & Tammy Lawton and Eric @ Bobbie Lawton Sr., along with 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings; Lillian Fayette, Geraldine George, Sandra Lawton and Edwin Lawton.
He is predeceased by his siblings; Leona Doyle, Roger Lawton, Sr., and Genevieve Hubbard, as well as his grandsons, Joshua and Daniel Lawton, Jr. and his great-great granddaughter, Taylor.
