Obituary of Mary M O'Brien

WATERTOWN – Mary M. O'Brien, 92, formerly of Huntington St., died Tuesday evening, February 23, 2016 at the Colonial Park Nursing Home in Rome, NY. Born in Watertown on February 1, 1924, the daughter of Frank & Leta Reynolds Fleming. She attended school in Theresa. She married Norbert "Bob" O'Brien on December 17, 1941. She was employed by the Olga Knitting Mill in Watertown and the Venus factory in Dexter. Mr. O'Brien died on February 24, 1995. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Sackets Harbor. She is survived by her sons; Raymond O'Brien and Donald O'Brien, both of Carthage, along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her brother Robert Fleming is predeceased. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with The Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy, officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service from 6 – 7 PM. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Sackets Harbor.
