CARTHAGE- Neil L. Lagrow, 77, of 4727 Zecher Road died on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Carthage Area Hospital. He was born on September 7, 1938 in Carthage, to Errol and Mildred David Lagrow. He attended Carthage Augustinian Academy. He retired in 1999 from the St. Regis Paper Co. as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He married Sally Britton on June 17, 1960 at the Methodist Church in Carthage. He is survived by his wife, Sally, Carthage; three children, Neil & Candise Lagrow, Kentucky; Brenda Anne Lagrow & Edward Greenwood, Copenhagen; and Raymond Lagrow, Carthage; he is also survived by a brother, Lester and Bridgett Lagrow, Germany; and a sister, Sharon Manos, Black River; 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by three siblings and their spouses; Beverly and Paul Aucter, Roger and Linda Lagrow, and Gary and Beverly Lagrow and a brother-in-law Tom Manos. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in his garage and with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4-8pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 500 State St., Carthage NY 13619. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with The Rev'd Canon Samuel P. Lundy, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Naumburg. A luncheon will be held after the burial at the VFW in Carthage. Memorial Donations in his memory can be made to the Carthage Area Hospital.
