Watertown- Lawrence "Larry" Everard, formerly of 222 State Street in Carthage, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown, NY where he's been a resident for 3 years. He was born on March 28, 1934 in Croghan, New York to Gregory & Lavina Sherman Everard.
He went to Father Leo Memorial Catholic School in Croghan where he graduated. He served in the United State Marine Corps.
He is survived by several children, Sheree, Larry, Kim, Doug, Todd, Thomas; and several siblings, Betty June Caskey, Clark Everard, and Lynn Everard. He is also survived by 19- grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was a big sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was an avid BINGO player, and he loved spending time on the river.
He is predeceased by a daughter, Tina, and three brothers, Kenneth, Donald, and Roy and three sisters, Vivian, Alice Ann, and Doris Bushey.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 7:00pm with the Reverend Ed. Murphy, officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family.
