Obituary of Barbara D Steria

CARTHAGE – Barbara D. Steria, 67, 600 S. Washington, died Feburary 19, 2017 at home. Born in Carthage on August 13, 1949, the daughter of Charles W. Thompson and Fern Shettleton; she attended local schools. She was previously employed by the James River Paper Co. before becoming disabled. She is survived by her son, Wesley Steria, her granddaughter, Morgan Steria and her siblings; Patricia Arnold, Charles "Sonny' Thompson, Dolly Brotherton and Richard Thompson. She has a grandchild expected in March. She is predeceased by her grandson, Josh Steria, who died in 1995. There will be no public calling hours or funeral. Arrangements are with the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage.
