Philadelphia- Mary Owens, 66, died on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County. She was born on March 18, 1951 in Lyons, NY to William & Agnes Gaines Casselman. She graduated High School and furthered her education getting an Associate's Degree in Human Services. She was primarily a homemaker. She is survived by several children, Angela (Richard) Western, Samantha Pearce, and Jessica Querrie, and grandchildren, Skylar & Mykayla Querrie, and Katrina Western. She is also survived by siblings, Barbara Hoffman and Elizabeth Sonntag. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Black River. She was baptized in 1982. She loved her time spent in the ministry teaching others about the Bible. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 3:00-5:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7:30pm at the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah Witnesses, with the Elder Matthew Whattam, officiating, the Hall is located at 28345 State Route 342, Black River, NY 13612..
