Obituary of Cheryl L. Abramo

CARTHAGE – Cheryl L. Abramo, 64, 620 S. Washington St., died early Wednesday morning, January 10, 2018 at home, under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born at the former Mercy Hospital in Watertown on February 5, 1953, the daughter of Charles R. and Ida May Cooley Monaghan.  She attended local schools and was primarily a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family; she played darts, bingo and bowled and loved to cross-stitch.

 

Cheryl is survived by her children; Billie-Jo L. (James Zimmerman) Abramo, Angela M. Abramo, William J. Abramo III and Justin Campany.  Also surviving are her siblings; Michael C. (Karen) Monaghan, Marjorie G. (Ernest) Monaghan, Tina Marie Davis, Timothy J. Monaghan, Charles L. (Rhonda) Monaghan Alicia J. (John) Passage and Colleen K. Woodside, her grandchildren; Jamaul and Jermaine Whitfield, Jaden, Landon and Raelynn Abramo, Hailee and JJ Zimmerman and Abigail Abramo, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. 

She is predeceased by her sisters, Venessa Rose, Terri Lee and Brenda Lee, her grandson, Jerome Whitfield, along with her brother in law, Daren J. “Woody” Woodside and her dog, Duker.

Calling hours will be held at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage on Saturday, January 13, from 1 – 3 PM followed by a service in the Chapel at 3:00 PM, with Roger Mono officiating.
