CARTHAGE- Donald G. Bishop Jr., 57, of 31 Vincent Street died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Carthage Area Hospital after he had been stricken at home. He was born on October 30, 1957 in Carthage, New York to Donald and Patricia Segovis Bishop. He graduated from Carthage High School. He worked construction for various local companies. He played baseball when he was younger and one of their best pitchers. He also enjoyed drawing. He is survived by his companion, Becky O'Dett, Carthage; two sons, Donald (Bear) Bishop III., Clayton; Wyatt Bishop, New Jersey; two daughters, Erin Elliott, Florida; Danielle (Buzzie) Bishop, Plattsburg; a step-daughter, Leanna O'Dett. Donnie's love for his children and especially his grandchildren was unmatchable, they were his life. He was known as Uncle Don to so many young ones and brought smiles and laughter to all. His love of his friends was equal to that as family. He lived his life through the love of so many. His humor and entertaining way will live on through so many memories and funny stories. He loved hunting with his boys, especially the stories after. Please carry on his memory by continuing the fun times; he wouldn't want it any other way!
