Obituary of Elmer R. Lashua

HARRISVILLE – Elmer R. Lashua, 67, 12696 NYS Rte 812, died Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017 at home under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice. Born in Gouverneur on April 12, 1950, the son of Edward W. & Ellen Law Lashua, he attended school in Edwards, NY. He married Kathy S. Reid on June 24, 1978 in Edwards. Elmer worked in the maintenance department for the Town of Wilna Housing Authority for 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Lashua is survived by his wife, Kathy, at home and his son, Justin R. Lashua of Auburn, NY. Also surviving are his sisters and their spouses; Corol & Gary Wade, Eden North Carolina, Joanne Sawyer, Edwards, NY, Sue & Bob Mazionne, Suffolk, Virginia, his brothers; David Lashua, Larry & Linda Lashua, Edward & Sue Lashua, all of Edwards, NY and one granddaughter, Hannah. He is predeceased by his sister, Vicky Zeller. There will be no public vistiation or funeral service.
